Operate various powered forklifts up to 30,000 pound capacity in open and confined spaces.Essential Responsibilities include:1. Coat surfaces of contract units with primer, paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other materials using brushes, rollers, spray fans and other devices.2. Remove old paints using a liquid paint remover, scraper or plastic/sand media blasting techniques.3. Smoothes surface with sandpaper and steel wool.4. Roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure that paint adheres to surface and provides corrosion control methods to customer specifications.5. Masks and cover portions of surfaces not to be painted.6. Paints insignia, letters or numerals on vehicle surface using stencils.7. Uses gloss and semi-gloss, enamels and lacquers.8. Paints and redecorates facilities, vehicles, equipment and fixtures.9. May mix colors, oils, white lead and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color.10. Perform routine and non-routine troubleshooting/problem identification and resolution.11. Perform other duties as assigned and qualified.Work assignments involve standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, crawling, and crouching in strained and awkward positions for prolonged periods of time.
